A "C" is NOT a "C" Bra Cup Sizes are NOT standardized
Women are naturally conditioned to describe breast size by bra cup sizes. Unfortunately bra cup sizes are extremely inaccurate. As all women know, not all bras fit the same. Unlike all other industries, where agreed upon standards (weight, speed, velocity, pressure etc.) allow for comparison and specificity, there is no standardization in the bra manufacturing industry. The bra manufacturers (such as Bali, Goddess, Victoria's Secret, Warner's etc.) do not have an agreed upon standard. There is no accepted combination of which Cup Radius, Volume and Projection would constitute a certain cup size. As a result, a full C bra from one manufacturer will often feel and fit differently from those made by others. To make things worse, the volume and projection of the cup sizes of each manufacturer are considered proprietary information and are not shared with the public. This makes it impossible for any third party (such as Plastic surgeons) to collect, process and create comparison volumetric cup size charts for the public to size themselves. As a direct result, young women soon learn which bras fit them better but the majority of women wear bras which are improperly fitted.
How do you make your Plastic Surgeon understand how big you want to be?
Therefore, while telling your surgeon you want to be a C or a D is the only way you can communicate your wishes, this can only start the discussion but does not have the clarity and specificity of discussing a real standard (square feet, miles per gallon, pounds etc.). Without an accurate industry standard that we can all understand, Plastic surgeons cannot accurately translate such inaccurate and secretive bra cups to the exact dimensions of their many readily available breast implants (implant volume (in cc’s, implant foot print (in cm's) and implant height or projection (in cm)) thereby making communication between women and their surgeons very frustrating.
The most critical step in Breast Augmentation is picking THE Right Breast Implants
|
The “Old School” Ways to pick Breast Implants
- Ask your friends who had a Breast Augmentation (some of whom may naturally feel that having had the operation was equivalent to having trained in Plastic Surgery)
- Rely on photoshopped internet photo pages (“She looked kinda like me before surgery, so…)
- Rely on ladies’ magazines or internet sites in which attention-hungry Plastic surgeons guess at which celebrity had what “done” (sometimes they are even correct).
- Ask your husband or boyfriend to pick them (a sure way to look like Dolly)
- Let your Plastic surgeon or his Nurse pick your implants (some of which keep a simple inventory of only 1 to 4 different implants)
- “The Rice Test” - parade around your mirror with a sports bra carrying a pantyhose stuffed with variable amounts of either rice, oatmeal or grits (1 measuring cup reportedly measuring 236cc in volume) hoping the amount stuffed in your bra corresponds to various implant shapes and volumes. (They do NOT).
- Come to the Plastic surgeon's office wearing a non-padded bra and a T shirt and having a variety of silicone gel implants placed in your bra in front of the mirror. (A sure way to end up with smaller implants than you thought. Once the implants are inside of you, under the breast and chest they are compressed and therefore produce a smaller result).
- Pray to Rumina, the Roman breast goddess or consult a tarot card reader
- Flip a coin

Now, you can take your Breast Augmentation consultation experience into the 21st century by having a scarless Breast Augmentation 3D digital simulation.
|
Vectra Digital Technology now allows you to SEE how YOU may look with ANY breast Implant WITHOUT first having surgery - Seeing is Believing
| |
The closest simulation to actually having Breast Implant surgery, waiting for the swelling to go down and seeing your results is having a VECTRA Scarless Breast Augmentation 3D digital simulation. Unlike anything out there, the VECTRA 3D machine uses 36 Megapixel resolution stereophotogrammetry technology with 1.2 mm geometry resolution (triangle edge length) and 3.5 milliseconds capture time to capture an accurate vivid 3D picture of your chest.
|
WHY would you BET your future breast appearance and size on other peoples’ photoshopped internet Before and After photos or inaccurate Rice bags when You can SEE YOUR simulated After surgery Breasts BEFORE actually having your Breast Augmentation Surgery?
|
Virtual SCARLESS Breast Augmentation is simple and incredible useful. The Vectra computer will take a 3D digital photograph of your chest. Once this is done Dr. Aldea or Dr. Eby will sit with you and based on your breast and chest dimensions will show you how you may look with any breast implant available in the US. You will be able to see your “after” augmented chest from EVERY possible angle in all the ways others will see you.
Vectra 3D imaging is revolutionary. No other technology comes close to completely educating women on their breast implant choices. You can discuss cup sizes, cups of rice and draw comparisons to internet pictures all you may want to. None of them are you. You are an individual and deserve to have your implant picked accurately based on your anatomy and your wishes.
Dr. Aldea and Dr. Eby are the only Plastic surgeons in the Memphis metropolitan area who offer this important advanced technology to their Breast Augmentation women.
